EXTRA CREDIT THE MUSEUM OF THE MOVING IMAGE

The museum of the moving image was a great location to bring the cluster on a feild trip because, there were great example of american film, aswell as the impact f the media. The great example of American film was the creation of the green screen in which the museum allowed us to go infront of a actual green screen and goof around, the real we looked into individually were the faster you turned the knob the quicker the images looked and formed into a movie, the voice over romm were we had the opertunity to put our voices on fictional charecter. The music room were we had the opportunity to chose the backround music for suspense movie scenes aswell as drama and action. The movie rooms showed us different movies created in the 80s, the clips of the movies were all scenes that special effects were used in. The museum had the actual items used in movies such as freddy crugar and the exercist and showed the viewers how the special effects were made possible. This gallery was great because it turned fiction into reality. I believe we should have wen to the museum a little bit earlier in the semester because it gave us a good grasp on the history of american film but i belive the knowlege was brought to us a little to late. All in all i really enjoyed the experience and i hope Dr. Smith continues to bring his classes to the museum of moving image
